Torpoint Yacht Harbour
Sheltered within the mighty stone walls of an ancient monument, Torpoint Yach Harbour offers secure berthing, rich maritime heritage, and immediate access to some of the finest sailing waters in the British Isles.

Steeped in History
Constructed around 1783 by French prisoners of war, the Old Ballast Pond was originally built to protect ballast barges from the elements. Today, this remarkable structure—one of only two surviving ancient ballast ponds in the UK—has been carefully restored and reimagined as Torpoint Yachting Harbour.
Its vast stone walls now provide modern boat owners with exceptional protection from the full force of British weather, combining centuries-old engineering with today’s berthing needs.
